Purpose
- Promotes intellectual and collegial exchange among LDS humanities scholars in the United States and abroad.
- Fosters support and mentoring for the production of superior scholarship in all humanistic disciplines.
- Provides a forum for exchange that explores and strengthens LDS values, especially as they relate to humanistic inquiry.
- Facilitates contact among LDS scholars in all humanistic disciplines, not limited to Mormon culture and history.
- Assists members in the successful integration of the intellectual and spiritual aspects of their lives.
Members
In addition to university-affiliated scholars, MSA welcomes independent scholars, current MA or PhD students, and retired scholars. Membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is not required.
Membership is $10 annually. Lifetime memberships may also be purchased for $250. Funds are used to promote the website, publish the newsletter, and facilitate meetings at conferences. Additional fees will be required of attendees to conferences sponsored by MSH. Apply to Join — Memberships are now being accepted!
